Sydney Underground Film Festival

The 2010 Sydney Underground Film Festival (Suff for short) starts today and will finish on Saturday 11 September at The Factory Theatre, Marrickville.

The festival will only program unique, quality independent films that transgress the status quo and challenge the conservative conventions of filmmaking. The festival is devoted to renewing local interest in independent and experimental film as part of an international underground film culture and aims to change an engrained culture of cinematic complacency and revitalize an enthusiasm for cinema. The following are trailers to the films Rotting Corpse thinks you shouldn't miss. Especialy Harmony Korine's "Trash Humpers" which will having you laughing, gagging and well, thinking. Peter Pan on LSD wandering through the capitalist post-apocalyptic landscapes of suburbia.

As well as Gaspar NoĆ© who is infamously known for Irreversible, where the act of watching is in fact irreversible now brings us another controversial, bizarre and beautiful cinematic experience full of psychedelic imagery, drug use and graphic sexuality – which will no doubt go down in cinematic history!
