BREAKING NEWS! KILLERS AND FRIENDLY FIRES CANCEL GOOD VIBRATIONS

Rumours have hit the music industry this afternoon that The Killers have cancelled their tour with the Good Vibrations Festival, which kicks off this Saturday.

According to industry mag The Music Network, an  "insider" (yuck) has confirmed rumours that The Killers have pulled out of their headlining slot at Good Vibrations. The band’s touring agent Mushroom Group issued the following statement.

“The Killers had hoped that the Australian leg of their current tour would be completed as planned, but due to the severity of the illness of a close family member, they regretfully announce the cancellation of their Sydney Enmore show as well as their shows at Good Vibrations Festival Sydney and Good Vibrations Festival Perth this weekend.
The band apologizes to their Australian fans and asks for their understanding. The Killers still intend to perform at the Good Vibrations Festival’s Gold Coast and Melbourne shows next weekend.
The Killers would also like to take this opportunity to assure their fans that any concerns about the future of the band are unfounded. They are all looking forward to some time off at the end of this tour as they have been on the road for a long time, but there are no plans for an indefinite hiatus.”

This with the news that Friendly Fires have pulled out of the tour also should cause some serious shite. Although it seems that most people attending GVF don't even know or care about who is on the line up, they're more interested in showing the nation they're fabulous southern cross tattoos and big arms from carrying all those shopping bags! Lets shelf some pinggaaz!
