If you don't know by now and lets face it you probably do because I've slept on this for a few days but considering i haven't posted in a few months it's not to bad. So the point at hand is that there is some new Lauren Hill business hitting the interwebs about the same time as Lauren hits the communal showers for tax evasion. This new track is part of Hills million dollar deal with Sony to try and keep her from behind bars, which didnt really work. She didn't seem to pleased with having to release this song early, with Hill posting the following statement on her Tumblr:
Here is a link to a piece that I was ‘required’ to release immediately, by virtue of the impending legal deadline. I love being able to reach people directly, but in an ideal scenario, I would not have to rush the release of new music… but the message is still there. In light of Wednesday’s tragic loss (of former label mate Chris Kelly), I am even more pressed to YELL this to a multitude that may not understand the cost of allowing today’s unhealthy paradigms to remain unchecked!
So anyway is the song anygood? HELL yeh it's good! There is some Flying Lotus esk beats (Aren't all beats Flying Lotus Esk these days) with some super fast rap talkin. The thing is if you wanted to make a quick mill wouldn't you make a super sweet sing-a-long and get that shit charting ASAP. Not a fire spitting wonky hip hop number? Either way it's pretty dope and the world is a better place for it.
